Weekly Meal Plan {plus a recap}

My first weekly meal plan of the year... and it's going out on Tuesday. Not a good start huh?

** Side note - me and Firefox were not friends last night as I was trying to write this post! Between my kitchen computer or IE, I was have to restart every 15 minutes or so when websites froze so I decided to give Mozilla a shot. Well, it made me accidentally publish twice before I even wrote the post! **

Alright, it's a BRAND NEW YEAR! I have a resolution or two in regards to meals:
  1. Have a weekly meal plan set by Monday (if not by Sunday)
  2. Check publix.com, coupons.com, and my Sunday paper for coupons before planning out the weeks meals.
  3. Keep track of how much I spend specifically on dinners each week.
That being said... meal plan was set by Monday - Check!! However, I didn't check publix or my coupons before setting my menu. But I do have the receipt in hand so I can mark down how much I spent. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

SUNDAY we had...
Chinese. We were recovering all day.... no grocery shopping for us.

MONDAY
Chef Salad

TUESDAY
Salmon with a Honey-Mustard Glaze
* Salmon killed me this week, it wasn't on sale... and we got nearly 2 lbs of it *

WEDNESDAY
Clemson Bowl Game!!  And it's going to be chilly so I'll be making ...
Chicken Florentine Soup

THURSDAY
Baked Whole Chicken with Asparagus and rice

FRIDAY
Mashed Potatoes over Hamburger & Veggies

SATURDAY
5th Annual Moore Christmas Cocktail Party
yes.. I know it's after Christmas, but December was too crowded so we pushed it back.
The menu will include hot crab artichoke dip, chipotle dip, veggie dip, mozzarella sausage and tomato skewers drizzles with balsamic vinaigrette, wassail, cookies, and for the main dish... BBQ Brisket on little rolls. YUMYUM!
